Tick Tock, It's Time to Beat the Clock

It feels like it was a few months ago and not just one week ago that I reminded you that today is the last day to order from Annual Inspirations 2017-2018 and Seasonal Expressions 2.

Both Idea Books expire on August 31, 2018 at 11:59pm Mountain Time which, in case you are a night owl, is 1:59am Eastern Time on September 1.

The colors that are retiring were announced at the CTMH Convention at the end of June. The retiring colors are: Crystal Blue, Juniper, Flaxen, Sorbet (from the Whimsy Color Palette), Pacifica, Tangerine, Blossom, Cranberry (from the Adventure Color Palette), Poppy (Adventure Color Palette), and Nutmeg (Basics Color Palette). The Color of the Year, Bashful, is also retiring August 31. The colors, cardstock combo packs and the pigment inks that are retiring, as well as a list of products that are no longer available are featured here.

Also ending on August 31st is the Here's To You special.

The full Here's To You product list is posted on July 14 or you can head over to my Consultant Website. There are four stamps to choose from or you may purchase a workshop which includes all of the stamps. The workshop is available with or without the Rose Embossing Folder.

Can you believe it? There is only one week left in August. Where does the time go?

Craft with Heart Subscription

With the new Holiday Expressions 2018 Idea Book, Close To My Heart is offering Craft with Heart™, a Cut Above® Layout Kit Subscription.

Each Craft with Heart™ box will include pre-printed base pages, paper pieces, die-cuts, and stickers to make two scrapbook layouts, plus three 12" x 12" Memory Protectors™ and a marketing postcard. There is enough to create two 2-page layouts each month. There will be three options to select from: monthly, 4-month (one delivery of four kits) and 12-month (three deliveries of four kits each). CTMH Announcements

This was supposed to post at 12am this morning, but I guess I forgot to click the correct button - save versus publish. There are a few announcements I need to share.

Holiday Expressions 2018

This new idea book will be valid from September 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018.

Until August 31st, Annual Inspirations 2017-2018 and Seasonal Expressions 2 are still valid and many items in those books are still available. Information about the current idea books are on my CTMH Idea Books page.

Clearance Items

There are new Clearance items available. They can be found by visiting my Consultant Website then choosing Shop followed by the Clearance menu. There is a wide range of items available at deeply discounted prices, but remember all clearance items are only available while supplies last and shipping is calculated on the full retail value of the product!

Printed Workshop Instructions

Workshops Your Way® kits include printed instructions with the kit, however workshop kits created for monthly specials like Here's To You and More Magical do not include printed instructions. A PDF of Workshop Guides for these kits can be downloaded using the link under the "Add to Cart" button or under "Product Description" on the product page. Tombow® Permanent Adhesive Refill

UPDATE Thursday, September 27, 2017:
Additional stock of the Tombow® Adhesive Refills (Z3327) has been received, so this item is once again available for order. Effective immediately, with this item back in stock, the Tombow® Adhesive (Z3326) and the Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive Pack (Z3033) will return to their regular retail prices.

CTMH is currently out of stock of the Tombow® Permanent Adhesive Refill (Z3327). The supplier is unable to provide more refills until mid-September. Although this shortage was caused by factors beyond the control of CTMH and the supplier, CTMH recognizes the inconvenience this causes for customers. That's why CTMH will be offering a temporary 10% discount on the Tombow® Permanent Adhesive (Z3326) and the Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive Pack (Z3033). This discounted price will apply to all orders for these two adhesive options until we receive additional stock of the Adhesive Refill.

Diamond Background Technique

Close To My Heart recently posted this layout with a Diamond Background to their Facebook page:

The layout was created with the Thin Cuts from the Fresh Air Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts (Z4186).

Unfortunately, this product was so popular that stock is no longer available.

But wait, we are creative people and we have options.

Cricut Design Space™ has some free shapes. I looked there is a diamond. I started playing in Design Space and this is what I came up with:

Feel free to use my Design Space project.

I have not cut with this file yet, but I do not anticipate any problems since it is fairly "plain". The DS file has the URL of the Facebook Post in case you want to refer back to it for photo location and embellishment ideas. When using the file I suggest hiding the text, the brown and the white shapes. Personally I would cut the white 11½" square using a paper trimmer.
