Close To My Heart is introducing a new policy related to the availability of stamp sets – stamp sets will only be available when they are pictured in a current Idea Book (with a few exceptions noted below).
This policy is taking effect immediately, meaning that stamp sets featured in Seasonal Expressions 1 will be retired at the end of that idea book on April 30, 2016. Stamp sets featured in Annual Inspirations 2015–2016 and any other stamp sets that are currently available but are not pictured in any active idea books will be retired on July 31, 2016, with a few exceptions. The exceptions are the States & Provinces stamp sets, the Australia & New Zealand stamp sets, and a handful of other stamp sets that will be carrying forward to a future idea book.
This policy also applies to stamp sets that are compatible with a Cricut® collection. Formerly they were available indefinitely, but now they will be retiring when they no longer appear in an Idea Book.
To help you with planning future stamp set purchases (and hint, hint, you will want to plan for the March promotion), I will be posting a complete list of stamp sets being retired, and another list that shows the stamp sets that will continue to be available after August 1. I will post the lists as soon as they are make available from the Corporate Office.
This page was getting a little difficult to maintain so I moved this information into a spreadsheet that you can download from Google Docs. It still is a work in progress, I continue to create and add CDS files and add information to the spreadsheet so please check back for updates. The spreadsheet was last updated January 21, 2016.
The spreadsheet has five sheets. The first is a duplicate of much of the information here. The other sheets are divided into Currently available Cricut® Compatible Stamp Sets; Currently available, but for a limited time, Cricut® Compatible Stamp Sets; and Retired Cricut® Compatible Stamp Sets and the recently added Thin Cuts Compatible Stamp Sets.
Cricut® Compatible CTMH Stamp Sets often do not retire on the same schedule as non-compatible stamp sets. When/if they eventually retire I will post a retirement list and move the stamp to the Retired Cricut® Compatible Stamp Sets sheet. There are exceptions: the Stamp of the Month, Hostess Rewards sets and stamp sets included in a promotional set/kit, e.g., Cloud Nine from National Papercrafting Month in January 2014, are only available for a specific time-frame. Since the Thin Cuts were introduced in January 2016 I do not know what the retirement schedule will be.
In addition to this list, I created a Pinterest Board devoted to all of the CTMH Cricut® Compatible My Acrylix® Stamp Sets. If you would rather view them at my Online Business Address, you will find Cricut® Compatible Stamp Sets on the page of the Cricut cartridge they coordinate with. Go to Cricut® Collections on my OBA and then choose the cartridge(s) you have to see the stamp sets that coordinate.
The stamp sets are listed in product number order and includes the Cricut® compatible cartridge or compatible Thin Cut and the page number of the Idea Books it appeared in. For the Cricut® Compatible stamp sets there is also a link to the "file" I created in Cricut® Design Space. I created them because I know some people are having trouble getting a feel for the sizing in CDS, especially when the cut is grouped with other images like they are for Artbooking and Artfully Sent.
Many of the CDS files have not been tested because I create many of them during my lunch break. Due to this, please save your good paper for your final cut. Tested files are indicated by an "§" after the link to the "file". If you find an error, I would appreciate it if you send me a note. If there is a stamp set that you need a Cricut® Design Space file for please leave a comment below and I will bump that stamp set to the top of my list.
