CTMH News for November 2015

I am sorry that my blog posts have been fewer lately. It seems like I take three steps forward and then get pushed back two steps. I have some upcoming travel plans and found out that the airline cancelled the flight I was booked to take home AND did not bother to contact me to tell me (yet they have my email to suggest a rental car for me to use while I am gone). So I had to spend an evening on the phone trying to come up with a solution. They could not even offer me free checked bag for the four extra hours I now need to spend traveling. The event I am attending ends at 6pm and my flight is now 8:20pm. Getting to the airport, checking in and getting through security in time should be fun. And the agent suggests I should not plan to check my bag due to the time crunch so I get to try to claim space in the overhead compartment along with a lot of other travelers. At least I hope to be able to share some wonderful layouts with you when I get back.

A couple of days later I sat down to balance my checkbook, input automatic payments in the ledger and learned that my credit card had been blocked due to a suspected (and since verified) compromise. The good news: if you would call my experience with the airline night, my experience with the credit card company was day. A wonderful, nearly perfect day. BTW, the credit card company is Capital One if you are in the market for a new card. The representative made the experience as painless and pleasant as possible.

Only two months remain to order from Holiday Expressions. On December 31, 2015 most of the items will be retired (except stamps which have a different retirement schedule). In addition, there is the possibility that the inventory could be depleted before the end of December.
