Classic Summer Bash CTMH SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to the May2018 SOTM Blog Hop featuring the stamp set Classic Summer Bash. This month there are approximately 25 Consultants sharing projects they created with the CTMH Stamp Of The Month. We try to keep our blog hop easy: just keep clicking on the link to the next blog (typically near the bottom of the post) to visit the next post. Our blog hop is circular so visiting the next blog will take you back to where you started.

You should have arrived here from ***Michelle Loncar's Show and Tell, with Michelle***. If you get lost along the way, Melinda Everitt keeps a list of participants on her blog at If You Bling It.

My first thought was to scrapbook an old family reunion photo – from before I was born. Unfortunately I could not find the photo I had in mind. There are many photo albums in the family reunion box. Back when many family members had farms, the reunion was several days and many camped for the weekend. To make packing and traveling easier, people would take sweetened lemon juice and it would be mixed with water and ice at the reunion site (inside old-fashioned milk cans – like what people doctorate with today).

Since I could not find that photo, I thought this stamp set would be perfect to make recipe cards. I kept the size the same as the cards in the Cut Above® Recipe Kit—Kitchen Traditions (Z4168) or Cut Above® Kitchen Traditions Bundle (Z4167) so I could add my handcrafted recipe cards to the same book. This card was written by my mom. I think it is special to have something handwritten by our family members.

When I make something like this again, I think I am going to use Pebble for the lines. I added a date field, but it was so light that my mom missed it. I think I am going to re-add a spot of the date, maybe near the top right. I like subtle look of Linen, but in my opinion it might be too light.

Before you head to ***Brandi Robinson's crzy4scrapbooking***, the supplies I used to create my project are listed below.

All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
If you are not already working with a CTMH Independent Consultant, you may purchase all of the supplies I used at my Consultant website.

I love to hear what folks think about the items I create. If you have a little time, please leave a comment letting me know what you think of this idea. I hope you are enjoying the projects created with Classic Summer Bash — the May Stamp of the Month. Thank you for hopping with us!

So you do not have to scroll back up, the next stop on the hop is ***Brandi Robinson's crzy4scrapbooking***.
