Stampaganza Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampaganza Blog Hop featuring items created with stamp sets that are retiring on August 31. The stamp sets used are also available as part of the Stampaganza special. There are approximately twelve Consultants sharing recently created projects. When you click the link to visit the next blog (typically near the bottom of the post) you will have visited each blog and return where you started.

You should have arrived here from ***Melinda Everitt's If You Bling It***. If you get lost along the way, Melinda is also posts a list of hop participants for your convenience.

I had several card ideas, but it was so hot these past few days that I did not have the motivation in me to try to put any of my ideas to paper. As I colder weather fan, I was missing the snow and cold.

My card was inspired by this photo rotating on Consultant Websites this month, specifically the Good Times Card on the left.

Before cutting any paper, I did a mock-up of the card in Cricut Design Space™. Even though I did not plan to use my Cricut machine to cut, it is a great way to get a feel for the design without possibly cutting any paper in the wrong size or shape.

Since I did not have some of of the embellishments used on my inspiration, I used the long thin (lines) stamp in Thanks a Million to make my own zip-strip style paper and I used flowers from Documented—Cardmaking to make embellishments. I colored the flowers with a very dry waterbrush and ink that had transferred to the lid of my stamp pads. The stamp set does not have individual leaves, so I used some dies from my stash. I cut the leaves from White Daisy and colored the same why I did the flowers.

Before you head to ***Brandi Robinson's crzy4scrapbooking***, the supplies I used to create my project are listed below.

All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
If you are not already working with a CTMH Independent Consultant, you may purchase all of the supplies I used at my Consultant website.

I hope you are enjoying our hop. If you have a minute, please leave a comment letting me know what you think of this card. So you do not have to scroll back up, the next stop on the hop is ***Brandi Robinson's crzy4scrapbooking***. Thank you for hopping with us!
