CTMH Autumn Air SOTM Blog Hop - October 2019

Welcome to the October 2019 SOTM Blog Hop featuring the stamp set Random Act of Cardness. This month there are almost 30 Consultants sharing projects created with the CTMH Stamp Of The Month Autumn Air. Our blog hop is a circle; visiting the next blog (typically via a link near the bottom of their post) will take you back to where you started.

Autumn Air Stamp Set
I needed to send a Thank You card for a friend of my late father. He recently helped me with a tire that was too soft to safely drive on so I came up with this card. I love the colors of fall, so I tried to imitate them on my card.

Card created for the Autumn Air Blog Hop
I wanted the aperture to be a little larger than the Thin Cuts–Ovals, so I used a die I had in my crafty supplies. To center the opening I drew an x on the back of the Sangria card, lined up the die and used washi tape to hold the die in place. Then, to emboss around the edge of the opening, I put the die on the front of the Sangria card and used a rubber mat when running the layers through my die cutting machine. I cut a piece of copy paper in the same size and shape as my Sangria cardstock to help me with placement of the solid stamps in the aperture. I used the "rock 'n roll" technique to color the leaves inside the aperture. Since the Sangria and Gold Foil frame are already raised with 3-D Foam Tape I did not use gems to embellish. I did not want to make my card too thick for the mail so I used Stickles™ Glisten instead.

Before you head to ***Haley Dyer's The Inky Scrapper***, the supplies I used to create my project are listed below.

All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
If you are not already working with a CTMH Independent Consultant, you may purchase all of the supplies I used at my Consultant website.

I love to hear what folks think about the items I create. If you have a little time, please leave a comment letting me know what you think of this idea. I hope you are enjoying the projects created with Autumn Air — the October Stamp of the Month. Thank you for hopping with us!

So you do not have to scroll back up, the next stop on the hop is ***Haley Dyer's The Inky Scrapper***.
