Card created for the Family Time (November 2019 SOTM) Blog Hop |
Before stamping I tried to make sure covered the entire front with the Anti-static pouch. I used a stamp platform to stamp because I knew I would need to have a nice juicy image to compensate for an uneven background. When removing the excess embossing powder, I was extra careful to pick up the card from the top so the embossing powder did not sneak into the scallops.
Here is where I have to admit I did not test my adhesive to make sure it would hold up under heat. While I heated the embossing powder the adhesive failed and I had to piece my card front back together. I think it turned out OK in the end; I hope you do too.

I love this - the colours flow so naturally together. The joys of embossing after adhering layers... thanks for sharing your ideas ;)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the scalloped borders! Great card!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of a large stamp on a card. Love the colors!
ReplyDeletePretty reminds me of a Pinata! what adhesive would be better?
ReplyDeleteI think the red liner tape can withstand heat. I am usually not patient enough to know if a wet adhesive would work - I often do not have enough time to wait for it to dry. :-)
DeleteThis will definitely brighten someone's day!
ReplyDeleteLoving how you used that silver! Thank you for joining the SOTM hop. I can’t wait to see what you create next!💙☕ Miss. Carrie
ReplyDeleteLOVE the colors and the dimension the scallop strips bring!
