On this hop there are nearly 20 CTMH Makers sharing projects created with items from the Perfect Match Collection. Our blog hop is a circle; visiting the next blog (typically via a link near the bottom of the post) will take you back to where you started.
CTMH Perfect Match Blog Hop |
You should have arrived here from ***Krista's Crafty Corner by Krista Hershberger***. If you get lost along the way, Melinda Everitt also keeps a list of all participants on her blog at If You Bling It.
For our hop I created this card. The card evolved as I was creating, and is not what I had in my mind's eye when I started creating, but I am still pretty happy with it.
card created with Perfect Match |
I was loosely inspired by a painting that was famous when I was in high school and I think it was used on a postage stamp. I planned to use the "XO" Black and White paper from Perfect Match along each side of this card, but when I laid the paper on the card base where I intended to place it, I was not "feeling it". I decided to use the arrow and heart stamp to "build upon" the borders I previously created.
I used the heart and "you" to create my own sticker-like element. I stamped the heart using Candy Apple and then stamped "you" using Black. I fussy cut around the images then attached it to the card with 3-D Foam Tape. It is hard to see in the photo, but I added Icicle Stickles™ Glitter Glue to the corners of the "Love" layer.
Before you head to ***Snips, Snaps, and Scraps by Kathy Burrows***, the supplies I used to create my project are listed below.
All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
- My Acrylix™ Stamp Sets: Perfect Match (CC12204)
