It is recommended that you use photographs printed on real photo paper because the paper is more flexible for rolling back onto the wooden pin. Also, using Bonding Memories® Glue (1512 or Z553) adds to the flexibility of the photos. Memory Book Glue Dots® (1772 or Z341) work best for attaching the buttons and Liquid Glass (Z679) assists the already strong adhesive on the canvas shapes to be certain they stay in place over time. It is also suggested that you use Exclusive Inks®Mini Pigment Pads when making home decor items because pigment inks stand up better to regular exposure to light over time than dye-based inks.

Learn more about the CTMH exclusive color palette in this video Adding Color to Your Crafts. There are 40 colors in the exclusive color palette. Close To My Heart has long been known for their Workshops on the Go® Kits that create scrapbook pages. When you purchase a WOTG kit there is enough product included to create the featured layout and an additional layout. If you purchase two to three additional items (listed with the WOTG description in the Idea Book or online) you can also make a bonus project. Instructions to make the bonus projects can be found at my online store under Ideas & Inspiration then Workshops on the Go® or Workshops on the Go® instructions. The bonus project sometimes are cards, but other times are mini albums, ornaments, recipe card or photo boxes or other home decor or gift items.

The thing I love most about CTMH My Acrylix® stamps is that they are clear and I can see if I have enough ink on the stamp and exactly where the image is going to be on my project. The video I am sharing with your today gives me (and I think you too) another reason to love them: the ability to bend and shape the stamps to create "new" images. For example a sentiment that fits a banner perfectly or a border that follows the curve of a handle on a gift box or bag.

Stamp swiping is relatively new to me, but I really like the impact. This video shows us how. As the video shows, it works best with solid stamps; in the video the My Acrylix®Trinity Alphabet is used in the first example.

It really isn't too early to think about preparing for Christmas, especially if you like to create your own greeting cards, home decor or gifts. I know in my home it seems like the hands on the clock speed up the closer we get to an event so an early start is necessary. That is except when I am at work. :-)

My aunt and cousin like entertaining. They recently had a home kitchen show (they usually have two each year) and there were so many different dishes that they must have started cooking at 7am. My nieces love to go to their kitchen shows even though they do not cook yet. My mother and I are not like my aunt and cousin (therefore almost every holiday gathering is at my aunt and uncles), but I think I could manage to make a few of the treat boxes shown in this video, Project Inspiration 2012 Autumn/Winter Idea Book: Framing Sweet Treats. This is such a great idea. I wish I had found this video before I completed some of my WOTG Kits.
This video, Add Cricut® Flair to Any Workshop, provides ideas for substituting shapes cut with the Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge with the straight shapes usually suggested in the WOTG cutting guides (please be careful when cutting so have enough paper to complete your projects).

This video, Cricut® Artiste: One Size Fits All, shows how elements are linked (see color coded images) so everything is cut proportionally for assembly. It also discusses Real Dial Size which can sometimes be confusing.

My cartridge is still with the shipping company - I guess I am too impatient as it shipped the business day after I ordered it. You cannot do better than that. I still am hoping that the tracking information is wrong and that it will arrive a day or two earlier than estimated. I am a "glass is half full" kind of person (usually that is).

Today I received a message from the CTMH Corporate Office. The purpose of the message was so Independent Consultants could alert our customers to a typo in the Cricut® Artiste booklet.

On page
49 of the booklet, the slide box is unable to be cut at the 6.5"
suggestion. The largest that it can be cut at is 5 ¾" using the Fit to
Page function.
I (and CTMH) hope the error was not too much of an inconvenience to customers.
