There are only 18 Weeks Until Christmas. Another way to look at it is about 4 and 1/2 months away. I have a feeling that that those weeks will slip through our fingers in no time.
I have to admit it. I had a hard time using the Santa's Helper image from Digistamps4Joy. I typically gravitate to more traditional holiday images. While I have seen many wonderful projects using images that include people/faces, I had yet to try one of my own. In addition, this was my first attempt at using alcohol markers.
I used the following materials to create the card: Santa's Helper from Digistamps4Joy printed on Georgia Pacific white cardstock. The image was colored using ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers from CTMH. I fussy cut the image using a craft knife and glass mat.
The pre-cut and scored card base is 6.5" high and 5" wide. I covered the card with the black snowflake printed B&T Duos™ Papers from the Snowhaven Paper Packet (X7188B). I cut a piece of Classic Glam Glitter from The Paper Studio to place behind the digi. I used Cricut® Design Space and my Cricut® Explore to cut the Christmas border (#M3E126 from Holiday Cakes) using red and green cardstock from my stash and to write "Merry Christmas" using American Crafts Precision Pens on a banner (#M3BEE2) cut using the CTMH Cricut® Artiste cartridge (Z1790) from CTMH White Daisy cardstock (1385).
I am linking my card to the Digistamps4Joy August 2014 Monthly Christmas Challenge and Decosse's Dynamite Doodles 12 Months of Christmas Card Link Up.
I hope you like my card and thanks for visiting today.
This is a really cute card, Brenda.

What a beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone that commented. I am thrilled that people like this card since I was not sure about it myself. I was regretting fussy cutting the image out, but I like how the striped glitter paper creates a "wallpaper" look behind her. Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. :-)
