Using a Mask with your Stamping

Today we are going to get some tips for using a mask with your stamping. With Halloween just behind us, you might be thinking Halloween costumes, but Halloween costumes are so yesterday (or the day before as the case may be). Today we are using sticky notes to prevent areas of our stamp from getting inked so you can customize what is stamped on your project. We'll also see an example for using a mask with color mists. (See the Spray Pen & Misting Technique video on my Let's Get Inky! post to learn how you can create your own mists.)

The CTMH description for the video reads "The Stamp behind the Mask features masking portions of your stamps so that you only ink and stamp what you want to see." Now is a great time to select a stamp set that you would like to try masking with since November 2012 is Capture the Savings month. When you qualify for and purchase the November 2012 Stamp of the Month you can get an additional bonus of 50% off any other stamp set in the Idea Book. See yesterday's post for the details.
