CTMH To My Bestie SOTM Blog Hop - May 2019

Welcome to the May 2019 SOTM Blog Hop featuring the stamp set To My Bestie. This month there are approximately 20 Consultants sharing projects they created with the CTMH Stamp Of The Month To My Bestie. Our blog hop is circular so visiting the next blog will take you back to where you started.

You should have arrived here from ***Miss. Carrie's Creations by Carrie Simonds***. If you get lost along the way, Melinda Everitt keeps a list of participants on her blog at If You Bling It.

I did most of my stamping one evening, but had to stop for the night. When I went back to work on my card, I almost left if uncolored. I think the card without additional color has a certain peacefulness to it.

Birthday Card using To My Bestie - uncolored

Since my card is to celebrate a birthday, I continued with my original plan to use the Watercolor Pencils to add color.

Birthday Card using To My Bestie - colored
I needed a bigger surface for my focal point, larger than the largest oval Thin Cut, so I used an oval die from my stash. In addition to fussy cutting around the balloons and bouquet, I used a craft knife and glass cutting mat to cut along the edges of the woman's hand, then I cut the balloon shape where the strings are not continuous and eased the ends behind the hand. Then I attached the oval to my card and slipped some 3-D Foam Tape and Thin 3-D Foam Tape behind the balloons. I curved the "it's your day" stamp to follow the edge of the oval then stamped.

Birthday Card using To My Bestie - card sentiment

I carried the oval shape and bunch of flowers inside the card for the sentiment.

Before you head to ***Brandi Robinson's crzy4scrapbooking***, the supplies I used to create my project are listed below.

All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
If you are not already working with a CTMH Independent Consultant, you may purchase all of the supplies I used at my Consultant website.

I love to hear what folks think about the items I create. If you have a little time, please leave a comment with your impressions of my creation. I hope you are enjoying the projects created with To My Bestie — the May Stamp of the Month. Thank you for hopping with us!

So you do not have to scroll back up, the next stop on the hop is ***Brandi Robinson's crzy4scrapbooking***.
