19 Weeks Until Christmas

I am so sorry that this post is a few days late. It was last Thursday when 19 Weeks Until Christmas was accurate. Other commitments the past few weeks have cut into my crafting time more than I would like. It is too bad that we need sleep. Overnight, when nothing else is scheduled, would be the perfect time to craft, but alas, losing that sleep would make it difficult to do my day job and would probably negatively impact my crafting as well.

Looking at the calendar for the next couple of weeks gives me a glimmer of hope that I might be able to carve our some more crafting time, but we shall see.

If your crafting time is also limited, I hope you will like the card I am sharing with you today. This is the Cut Above™ Christmas Card Kit (Z2064). Except for the Baker's Twine everything is pre-cut and pre-scored for you. You just stamp and assemble. Except the adhesive and envelope, the "ingredients" for one card looks like this (the organizer and stamps are not included they were just a convenient surface to use for my photograph).

I did not assemble any of the cards exactly as shown in the kit. In addition to using the recommended "Christmas Joy" stamp from the Merriest Christmas (B1468) stamp set, I used other stamps in that set and stamps from the Hostess Rewards stamp set Be Jolly (B1455).

I used a snowflake stamp from the Frosted Cardmaking Workshop on the Go (retired) and Glacier ink to stamp behind the opening in the glitter paper. If you would like to do something similar, a good substitute would be the Snowflakes (D1480) stamp set. I used Glue Dots (1772) to attach the ends of the twine behind the glitter paper and the Duck® Easy-Stick™ Adhesive (Z3033) at attach the glitter paper to the card base. I cut the foam squares (included in the kit) into smaller squares to distribute them more evenly under the banner - I want it to look the best it can after going through the postal service.
