My Acrylix® stamps that have a corresponding shape on a cartridge are outlined in red. Space Party using your Cricut® Artiste cartridge

If you have a family member that loves outer space and astronauts, this video will give you many great ideas for using the Cricut® Artiste cartridge to create a memorable party.

The video, Project Inspiration 2012 Autumn/Winter Idea Book: Space Party, shows projects created by paper piecing the images you cut and talks about stamping the die cuts with coordinating stamps.

Use Shapes from the Cricut® Cartridges to Jazz Up Your Projects

This is such a great idea. I wish I had found this video before I completed some of my WOTG Kits.

This video, Add Cricut® Flair to Any Workshop, provides ideas for substituting shapes cut with the Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge with the straight shapes usually suggested in the WOTG cutting guides (please be careful when cutting so have enough paper to complete your projects).

"Many Close To My Heart scrapbook and card patterns are easy to adapt to include shapes cut using the Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge. Find out how to incorporate Art Philosophy shapes into the Dreamin' Workshop on the Go™ project; you'll be inspired by this great way to pump up your projects and use your tools!" [Unfortunately the Dreamin' WOTG kit is no longer available, but you can try this idea with any currently available WOTG Kits as well as using shapes from the Cricut® Artiste cartridge.]

Party Planning with a Cricut® Artiste cartridge? Yes.

This video, Easy Party Planning with Cricut®, will give you a few ideas for your next party, from invitations and decor to favor boxes and more. Great projects to create with your new Cricut® Artiste cartridge.

If you have not yet tried to make a rosette, this video also demonstrates how to create one - no cartridge needed. The demo in the video shows how to score the cardstock with your paper trimmer and a bone folder so no special tools are required either.

I am going to start publishing two blog posts each day for the next week because I am running out of time before my blog followers and Facebook Friends special offer ends to show you all of the wonderful things you can do with the Cricut® Art Philosophy and the Cricut® Artiste Collections. Some history for you: the Cricut® Art Philosophy Collection was introduced in the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book and the Cricut® Artiste Collection was introduced in the Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book.

Each Collection includes a cartridge and handbook (the Artiste Collection also includes a booklet that shows how to assemble the 3D objects), three exclusive D-size stamp sets and three sets of Dimensional Elements. The stamp sets and Dimensional Elements are designed to coordinate with images on their respective cartridges. There are labels on the stamp set and Dimensional Elements to tell you what size to cut the cartridge images. If you use all of the included Dimensional Elements, additional shape sheets are available for individual purchase.

More Cricut® Artiste cartridge tips

Here is another video that shows more tips and tricks for using the Cricut® Artiste cartridge.

This video, Cricut® Artiste: One Size Fits All, shows how elements are linked (see color coded images) so everything is cut proportionally for assembly. It also discusses Real Dial Size which can sometimes be confusing.

The CTMH description for the video reads "Discover how to create multiple-piece projects using the Close To My Heart Cricut® Artiste cartridge. You no longer have to size each individual piece—the Cricut® machine cuts the pieces to fit one assembled size of your choice!"

My cartridge is still with the shipping company - I guess I am too impatient as it shipped the business day after I ordered it. You cannot do better than that. I still am hoping that the tracking information is wrong and that it will arrive a day or two earlier than estimated. I am a "glass is half full" kind of person (usually that is).

Cricut® Artiste booklet correction

Today I received a message from the CTMH Corporate Office. The purpose of the message was so Independent Consultants could alert our customers to a typo in the Cricut® Artiste booklet.

Cricut® Artiste collection

On page 49 of the booklet, the slide box is unable to be cut at the 6.5" suggestion. The largest that it can be cut at is 5 ¾" using the Fit to Page function.

I (and CTMH) hope the error was not too much of an inconvenience to customers.

Some Easy Instructions for using your new Cricut® Artiste cartridge
