Bear Hugs Stamp Set - CTMH Stamp Of The Month July 2019
My first thought was to create a tunnel card, but I was having some trouble envisioning what I would use to decorate it so this card is my second idea – a pop-up surprise card technique I learned a few years ago from Karen Hanson aka Scrappy Canuck. I used the basic measurements in that post as a guide for enlarging the card to a 5" x 7" card.

When the card is removed from its envelope it looks like this.

When you pull the tab, the mountain, tree and bears "sit up" to reveal a hidden sentiment.

This is what the card looks like from the side. Underneath all of the embellishing is a traditional 5" x 7" card that has a fold on the left.

I layered the B&T Into the Wild Paper onto Linen Cardstock so the pop-up would be able to support the pieces I used to embellish. I layered them (using more adhesive than I typically would) before cutting using a craft knife and Ruler. To make the pull tab a little more durable, I cut three layers; there is a White Daisy circle on the back and one on the front below the B&T circle. To make the mountain a little stronger to support the sentiment, I added a ¼" strip of cardstock from the base to the peak.

Before you head to ***DanYellScraps by Danielle Wagner***, the supplies I used to create my project are listed below.

All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
If you are not already working with a CTMH Independent Consultant, you may purchase all of the supplies I used at my Consultant website.

I love to hear what folks think about the items I create. If you have a little time, please leave a comment letting me know what you think of my version of the surprise pop-up card. I hope you are enjoying the projects created with Bear Hugs — the July Stamp of the Month. Thank you for hopping with us!
