Seaside Blog Hop

Welcome to the Seaside Blog Hop featuring anything Seaside! Seaside is a special hop from the group that brings you the SOTM Blog Hops. On our Seaside hop we have 8 bloggers participating. If you just happened upon my post, clicking the link to the next blog (typically found near the bottom of the page) will take you full circle.

If you are visiting from ***Miss. Carrie's Creations by Carrie Simonds*** then you are on the right track; a complete list of participants can be found at Melinda Everitt's If You Bling It.

I have not cut the Bring Back My Pack — Seaside papers to complete the projects in the Workshop Guide yet, so I pulled out some scraps I had from the Seaside paper pack that was released in Annual Inspirations 2014-2015 to complete this project.

My card was inspired by two patterns I found online - Mermaid Magic Slider Card and Magic Slider Card. I would have used Design Space and my Cricut® to cut the card shapes, but it was too hot where my computer and Cricut® are located so I used some rectangle dies from my stash to cut the frame and aperture.

When the recipient removes the card from the envelope, it will look like this:

Seaside Magic Slider Card - front - slider in
The ship is stamped on acetate using Brown StazOn™ Ink. I am sorry the ship looks a little blurry; the acetate is not attached to the base (because the acetate needs to move) so you are also seeing the shadow of the stamped image.

Seaside Magic Slider Card - front - slider out
When you pull the slider out, the acetate layer falls directly onto the stamped and colored image.

Seaside Magic Slider Card - slider attached to Value Pack card
I am sharing this photo so you can see that the magic slider is attached to a card from the White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack. There is an accordion fold on the left and right sides to support the slider; I have not stamped inside the card because I have not decided who to sent it to.

If you are interested in more information about how I created my card, cut sizes for example, please let me know in the comments. It is currently 3 minutes prior to the start of the blog hop otherwise I would have added it here.

In case you are wondering about the color differences between the Seaside paper packets..in Annual Inspirations 2014-2015 the colors were Colonial White, Desert Sand, Glacier, Hollyhock, Lagoon, Pear, and Sorbet and in Bring Back My Pack — Seaside pack the colors are French Vanilla, Lagoon, Smoothie, and Toffee.
Before you head to your next stop on the Seaside Blog Hop, ***Crafty Happy by Darlys Recker***, the products I used to create the card are listed below.

All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
If you are not already working with a CTMH Independent Consultant, you may purchase all of the supplies I used at my Consultant website.

I have some other projects that I created with Seaside from Annual Inspirations 2014-2015:

National Stamping Month #30yearsofhappy Blog Hop
I created this nautical card in 2014 when we were highlighting the National Stamping Month special #30yearsofhappy.

Show Off Your Fabulous Photos Frame
I created this photo frame in 2016 for a door prize at an event. When the pretty papers in the photo mat it does not matter if all of the photo mats are filled.

Show Off Your Fabulous Photos Frame
I made the banner reversible so the font that goes best with the décor could be used.

If you have a few moments, please comment as you hop letting us know what you think of our creations. Thank you for hopping with us!

So you do not have to scroll back up, the next stop on the hop is ***Crafty Happy by Darlys Recker***.

    1. Cathy - I will create a post with measurements, etc. so you can create a similar card. I will try to post it in two or three days.
