Sep/Oct 2019 New Product Blog Hop

Welcome to the Close to My Heart New Product Blog Hop! This special hop is brought to you from same the group who bring you the SOTM Blog Hop. Today we are featuring items created with products from the new CTMH Idea Book September/October 2019, but you are likely to see some items from the Core Products book too.

On this hop we have about 20 CTMH Independent Consultants sharing their creations. If you just happened upon my post, clicking the link to the next blog (often found near the bottom of the page) will take you full circle.

You should have arrived here from ***Create with Alyson by Alyson Mayo***. If you get lost along the way, Melinda Everitt keeps a list of participants on her blog at If You Bling It.

I have been wanting to try "Chevron pattern with a twist!" which was shared in this Close To My Heart YouTube video from about a month ago:

I had planned to create something with all of the new colors, but I was not happy with how it was working out, so I decided to concentrate on the new colors featured in Every Little Thing. Of course I had to mix it up a bit and put my own touches on it.

Card created for the Sep/Oct 2019 New Product Blog Hop
On September 1, 2019 all Close To My Heart Cricut® Collections are available in digital format (ask your Consultant for their Cricut® Affiliate Link which will take you to Cricut's website to purchase) so I thought it would be fun to re-visit Artbooking using the Chevron technique and make use of several new colors. The video did not specify cut sizes so I decided to maximize use of one half of a sheet of cardstock; I unlocked the image and set the width to 11.5" and the height to 5.5". I used a scrap of White Daisy cardstock to layer my Zig Zag cuts. By the way, rather than trimming the edges of the overlay, I used the "waste" from cutting the overly and I set the overlay set aside to create with later. Once I had all of the strips together I cut and matched up those cuts on another piece of scrap White Daisy as shown in the video.

I stamped using the VersaMark ink onto Vellum Paper then I heat embossed. The sentiment is from the new Sentiments by Melissa Esplin.

I used Glue Dots® Mini Dots to attach the Vellum piece to my card then I used Black Diamond Stickles™ Glitter Gel to embellish and hide the glue dots.

Before you head to ***Haley Dyer's The Inky Scrapper***, the supplies I used to create my project are listed below.

All supplies are from Close To My Heart except where noted:
If you do not have a CTMH Independent Consultant, you may purchase most of the supplies I used at my Consultant website; Artbooking can be purchased via my Cricut® Affiliate Link.

I love to hear what people think about my creations. If you have amoment , please leave a comment letting me know what you think of my card. I hope you are enjoying the projects created with the new crafting supplies from CTMH. Thank you for hopping with us!

So you do not have to scroll back up, the next stop on the hop is ***Haley Dyer's The Inky Scrapper***.

  4. Love the way this turned out - it’s a technique I definitely have to try myself. The colours are perfectly mixed the way you set them up. The flowers on top are such a beautiful finish.
